Mamba Sour Fruit Chews were first released in 2007. They are sold in packages of 6, 18, or 24 soft chews and the flavors within each package are selected at random. Mamba was launched in the German market in 1953 and in the US in 1986. Skittles’ manufacturer has since removed gelatin. Gelatin is derived from animal collagen, the protein found in connective tissues, and used to give foods a chewy, gel-like texture. Until approximately 2010, Skittles contained gelatin, which is not a vegan ingredient. Mamba stands for fruit-flavoured chewing fun in tasty varieties: Strawberry, Raspberry, Orange, Lemon or Cherry. Mamba fruit chews are available in Fruit, Sour, and Tropics flavors including: Lemon, Raspberry, Orange, Strawberry, Sour Lemon, Sour Raspberry, Sour Orange, Sour Strawberry, Peach-Passionfruit, Apple-Kiwi, Pineapple-Coconut, and Mango-Orange. Mamba, once a popular vegan candy, changed its recipe to include gelatin, which is obtained by boiling the bones, skin, and connective tissue of cows or pigs. INGREDIENTS: SUGAR, GLUCOSE SYRUP (FROM WHEAT OR CORN), PALM OIL, SORBITOL (FROM WHEAT OR CORN), GELATIN, CITRIC ACID, NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS, BLACK CARROT JUICE CONCENTRATE (COLOR), TURMERIC OLEORESIN (COLOR). People everywhere loved them not only for their great taste, but also for their price. Each small Mamba package contained six pieces of fresh, fruity, chewy candies and was affordable for everyone. When Mamba was launched in 1953 in Germany, most people didn’t have a lot of extra money for treats.
